Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
Answer engine optimization is the practice of structuring content so AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity read it, trust it, and name your business as the answer to a customer's question. Where traditional SEO competes for a ranking on a results page, AEO competes to be the cited answer inside the AI response itself. Core tactics include question mapping, schema markup, and authority building, verified with citation tracking.AEO services in Austin
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
Generative engine optimization is the discipline of earning visibility inside answers produced by generative AI systems. GEO overlaps heavily with AEO; the difference is emphasis. GEO focuses on how large language models assemble generated responses and which sources they synthesize, while AEO focuses on being selected as the direct answer. In practice most programs treat them as one workstream.GEO agency in Austin
LLM Optimization (LLM SEO)
LLM optimization means improving how large language models such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini perceive and describe a brand. It covers what models already know from training data and what they retrieve live from the web. Work includes entity consistency, authoritative third party coverage, and structured content that models can quote accurately.LLM visibility work
Google AI Overviews
AI Overviews are the AI generated summaries Google shows above traditional results. They are assembled from a small set of sources Google trusts for that question. Content with direct answers, clear structure, and strong schema markup is far more likely to be pulled into an AI Overview.AI Overviews optimization
Prompt Monitoring
Prompt monitoring is tracking a fixed panel of real buyer questions, the prompts customers actually type into AI assistants, and recording how each platform answers over time. A prompt panel turns AEO from guesswork into measurement: you can see whether your brand was mentioned, whether it was cited as a source, and how that changes month over month.Proven Cite platform
AI Citation
An AI citation is when an AI answer names your website or content as a source, usually with a link. Citations are the currency of AI search: a mention without a citation builds awareness, but a citation builds authority and drives traffic. Measurable AEO programs track both separately, because success means being mentioned and cited.Free citation baseline
Entity Optimization
Entity optimization is making sure AI systems and search engines recognize your brand as a distinct, trusted entity. It includes consistent organization data everywhere your brand appears, structured data that declares who you are, author identities, and links between your profiles. Strong entities get cited; ambiguous ones get skipped.Entity work in our AEO program
Schema Markup (JSON-LD)
Schema markup is structured data added to a web page, most often as JSON-LD, that translates your content into a format machines parse directly. FAQPage, Organization, Service, and Article markup act like a translator between your site and AI systems, letting them repeat your facts accurately instead of guessing.Schema engineered web design
AI Share of Voice
AI share of voice measures how often your brand appears in AI answers for a set of tracked prompts compared with competitors. If ten buyer questions produce answers and your brand is named in six while a rival is named in three, you hold the larger share of voice. It is the clearest single metric for AEO progress. How we measure share of voice
Knowledge Graph
A knowledge graph is the structured database of entities and relationships that search engines and AI systems consult to understand the world. Getting your organization represented correctly, through consistent data, authoritative references, and structured markup, makes every AI system that consults the graph more likely to describe you accurately.Entity example: our founder
Answer Ready Content
Answer ready content is written to be extracted: a question as the heading, a direct answer in the first sentence, supporting detail after, and citable facts stated plainly. AI systems prefer sources they can quote cleanly, so answer ready structure often decides which of two equally accurate pages gets cited.Content built for extraction
